PRAY FOR AN ETERNAL GET TOGETHER TO HEAR THE UNTOLD STORIES..

Demise of T S Aboobeckerka  ( our Akkakka)  doled  our heart as well as it aroused  some  heart-sticking
memories  of my  childhood .It was a time we grown in our ancestral home (Kattil Peedika) hearing stories and  degusting songs from him .He was a good story-teller. He introduced  us  classic, pancha thanthra, its Arabic version – Kaleel Wa Dumna- stories of ArabianNingts etc.  We, all children  sat around him eagerly  listening his effusive style of storytelling. He brought us old and modern style of Arabic magazines of stories and comics and translated us.
On every evening, especially on summer, almost all kith and kin gathered in vast court-yard  of our ancestral home and started play balls, kabadi,  chulli&kol’(primitive style of cricket) and most terrible one namely -‘Ittapp’( mangooseRaheem was its master). Almost in all plays Akkaka was a live participant ignoring his age gap.
When he worked   50 years back  as the  teacher in Gramathy Madrassa  he was not mere a  madrassa teacher  but all students assimilated him  as  their own  friend & guide. He taught about 4 generations there, all of them adored him and kept in heart until last. His singing and Quran recitation were attractive to all.
Gramathy people compelled him  to work as  their  Katheeb, Imam and later their Kazi. He performed his duty  with a manner to get praising  of all sections. As we know, he was a soft speaking man, he never interfered in any type of controversial arguments.
Later, when he worked as Arabic Teacher in Chokli Iqbal MLP School , He was honoured by all other teachers and officers, sometimes because of his innocence and knowledge. If there any doubts arise in teachers Academic Council Meeting, he was the resort man.
Concerning his family life, He lived a very good husband and father. He was a man who never know what is miserliness. His purchasing style is enormous. I experienced several times that he bought plenty of quality food resources like valuable fishes and mutton and host somebody else.
Diabetes was distressing throughout his life. But he never revealed his difficulties & distresses to others.
He consoled others who were ill fated, but he never wished to be consoled by others.
He married his cousin considering the request from family. When his wife Zainaba paralyzed with stroke  and laid about 10 years , he treated her well with utmost caring her day-to-day-needs. But unfortunately, she died after prolonged treatment. It was 10 years back. Even after the death of his beloved wife, he never thought about a marriage in spite of compulsions from his family.
Then after, he lived to look after his children not only as a father, but also as a mother. Meanwhile his health condition was deteriorating due to sever diabetes.  His remaining life became with hospitalization, discharge and hospitalization. He had to cut his  leg’s toe more than two times.
Often I think why God tests with misfortunes such innocent people. Our  Akkaka suffered lots in life while smiling  us. If Allah arrange heaven to his obedient slaves, I think , definitely  Akkaka fully deserves for it. Let us pray for him  a pleasurable life  hereafter. And  wish an eternal get together with him  to hear the untold stories.
- With prayer, Wahab-
